International Operators Market & Street Traders, IOMST, was founded in 1994 with the specific goal of providing support for Irish market and street traders.

Since then we have evolved into a membership organisation, with members in every county. Our services now include the provision of insurance cover, access to legal advice and location-specific assistance to retail market and street traders throughout the twenty-six counties and Northern Ireland.

With the passing of time our goals have also evolved and our long-term objective is now the regeneration of Irish retail street markets.

It is clear that we here in Ireland still have a considerable distance to go before we can match the quality and variety of street markets that are to be found in the towns and cities of all our European neighbours.
